A for Anno
In this beginner’s alphabet some words are easy like A for ANT. Others are more difficult like KNOCKER, where the first letter K is silent. The aim is to show how English spelling can be varied and sometimes eccentric.
Anno is my first great-grandchild and at the time of writing, not yet one year old. I hope that he and others like him are ready, they will enjoy looking at this alphabet and using the little pictures as a guessing game.
